Appreciate the little wins

Choose Your Battles Carefully/wisely.

“Choose your battles wisely. After all, life isn’t measured by how many times you stood up to fight. It’s not winning battles that makes you happy, but it’s how many times you turned away and chose to look into a better direction. Life is too short to spend it on warring. Fight only the most, most, most important ones, let the rest go.”
C. JoyBell C.

How do you want to spend your time? Feeling angry about someone who is not worth your time in the first place? Feeling angry about petty things that will not matter a few years from now? Or spending your time on the seeds that will blossom and grow? The former will only make you feel more negative about yourself. The latter will shape your life for the better.

Why is it important to choose your battles?

First, NOT all battles are important. Really they are not… Some battles simply just do not matter in the long run. Think about that for a minute. Think about a battle you have taken on that did not matter in the long run.

Secondly, some battles, though they may seem pressing, are not worth it if the results from addressing them are not going to outweigh the costs!! Remember your time and energy is limited. Only choose battles where the benefits will outweigh the cost.

Lastly, it’s all about winning the big war. In life, we all come across countless problems that we have to confront and handle. Do you really want to be battling the small things that in reality will not count in the long run? The answer is a definite NO. If you want to reach your greatest potentials in all parts of your life (family, careers, goals, etc) then choose wisely which battles you take on and which ones you just let go!
